Feed Helper / Entry Level Software Engineer

The Job:

We are seeking an entry-level Software Engineer / Feed Helper. You will be responsible for:

Writing Python code for Unix environment;

Development and maintenance of the Geodelic Feed Processing System;

Work closely with Product Development and Systems Engineers to aid in developing new business opportunities;

Be an active participant in an Agile environment;

Be an active participant in the management of overall system.

Geodelic is a high-energy Santa Monica based start up company working on a groundbreaking location aware iPhone / Android App. We are staffed by a team of successful entrepreneurs in the Southern California area, and funded by top tier venture capital. We have a fun working environment and a focus on building great user experience.

Qualifications:

B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience;

A strong knowledge of OOP and related concepts;

A solid understanding of Python language and Django libraries;

Good knowledge of Database concepts and experience with SQL;

Working knowledge of Unix and Unix file processing tools;

Working knowledge of various file transfer protocols a plus.

Requirements:

Eligible to work in the U.S.A
